In plain words
The people of Bhārat believe that the Ātma has no beginning, no end and no death
That man is not merely ‘a gross body’; that in this gross body there is a ‘subtle body’, the Manas; that within it there is another, greater thing, yet another body that does not change; that there is also the ‘jīvātma’, which has neither beginning nor end and does not know the word death: this is the belief of the people of Bhārat and the authority of the Veda. At the time of worship we close our eyes, turn upward and try to find God within us. The people of other nations believe that their scriptures were written by men inspired by God. The people of Bhārat, however, believe that the Vedas came forth from God Himself and came through the hearts of the ṛṣis.
