In plain words
Gulping down toddy in plenty, swallowing opium, the noble minds who partake of bhang; drinking arrack to their ruin, eating the food of death, the men of high renown who chew on meat; saying, 'The jīva does not die; there is no killing of life,' the great ones who wring the necks of creatures; and gurus too, who in secret, calling it the Vaiṣṇava faith, drink arrack and eat meat: to all these the drink rises to the head, and in dry Vedānta they stand foremost, with arguments of logic, very fine; how many, in splendid show, pass as wondrous yogis! Have no fear that you will be ruined, thinking of them.
