In plain words

When the cravings for the objects of the senses pursue you, lift your voice and say, 'Lord Sāi, You are my refuge'; when hardship upon hardship paws the ground at you, raise your hand and say, 'Lord Sāi, protect me'; when the fevers of worldly life come upon you, say with your whole heart, 'Lord Sāi, I shall not forget You'; when wicked Ahaṅkāra rises in the mind, bow your head and say, 'Lord Sāi, I am Your servant'; speaking the truth, hold Lord Sāi as your witness; longing for Mokṣa, live in Lord Sāi's presence. The song that enchants the universe, a joy to the ears: He is that very Śyāma who sang it; believe this.
