15Mrdangas, conches and kettledrums, vinas, panavas and gomukhas, dhundhuris, anakas, bells and the rest, and the dundubhis as well, all sounded together. 16The Kuru women climbed to the tops of the palaces to see him, and rained flowers upon Krsna, their glances full of love and shyness and smiling. 17Gudakesa, himself the dear one, took up for his dearest a white parasol adorned with strings of pearls and set on a jewelled staff. 18Uddhava and Satyaki took up the two most wonderful fans; and the lord of Madhu, showered with flowers, shone upon the road. 19Here and there true blessings were heard, uttered by the brahmanas, some fitting and some not fitting for him who is beyond the strands and yet is their very self.
20Among the women of the city of the Kuru lord, whose minds were upon him whose praise is highest, there was talk with one another, charming to every ear.
