Verse 17

¹⁷As he lived in this way, following the conduct of his forebears day by day, there was a strange thing not far off; hear it from me. ¹⁸Dharma, walking on one foot, coming upon the earth in the shape of a cow with her lustre gone, questioned her, tears on her face, like a mother whose calf is lost.
