Live long, Suta· Verses 11–15

Suta, gentle one, may you live years without end, since you tell out the clear fame of Krsna, which for us who die is the drink that does not die. In this work of ours, which gives no rest, our selves grey with smoke, you give us to drink the honeyed wine of Govinda's lotus feet. We would not weigh heaven against a moment's company of one who keeps company with the Bhagavan, nor even the not being born again; and how much less what men wish for. Who that knows the taste could have enough of the story of him who is the one refuge of the greatest? Lords of yoga headed by Bhava and the lotus-born have not come to the end of the qualities of him who has no qualities.

So, learned one, you for whom the Bhagavan comes first: spread out for us who want to hear it the generous and unmixed doings of Hari, who is the one refuge of the greatest.
