37The brahmin is the Person's mouth, the kshatriya his arms; from the Bhagavan's thighs the vaisya, and from his feet the sudra was born. 38Bhurloka is reckoned from his feet, Bhuvarloka from his navel, Svarloka from his heart, and Maharloka from the chest of that great one. 39Janaloka is at his neck, Tapoloka at his two breasts, and Satyaloka at his heads, the everlasting world of Brahman. 40Atala is reckoned at his waist, Vitala from the all-pervading one's thighs, pure Sutala from his knees, and Talatala from his shanks. 41Mahatala from his ankles, Rasatala from the fronts of his feet, and Patala from the soles: so the Person is made up of the worlds.
42Or else Bhurloka is reckoned from his feet, Bhuvarloka from his navel, and Svarloka from his head: such is another reckoning of the worlds.
