22When I came to be from the lotus at the navel of that great one, I found nothing to furnish the sacrifice with except the limbs of the Person. 23Among them are the animals of the sacrifice, the post with the trees it is cut from, the sacred grass, this ground where the gods are worshipped, and time with its long train of strands. 24Best of the good, there are the goods and the herbs, the butter, the juices and metals and clays, the water; the verses of praise, the formulas of offering, the chants, and the fourfold office of the priests. 25the names to be spoken and the mantras, the fees and the vows, the order in which the gods are called, the rule, the resolve, and the frame of the rite itself.
26the ways and the views, faith, the setting right of what went wrong, and the giving over. All these furnishings I gathered out of the limbs of the Person. 27So, with the furnishings gathered from the limbs of the Person, by that very means I worshipped the Person himself, who is the sacrifice and the Lord.
