Clean, alone, without a second· Verses 38–40

38He, this first Person, unborn, brings forth in age after age. Himself, in himself, by himself, he draws himself in again, and he guards himself. 39Wholly clean, alone, knowing itself, turned inward and rightly settled; true, full, without beginning or end, beyond the strands, unceasing, without a second. 40Sage, the silent ones know it, whose self and senses and inward leanings have come to rest. Otherwise that same thing is hidden away, washed out by arguments that go nowhere.
