41The first descent of the supreme one is the Person; then time, own-nature, what is and what is not, and mind; substance, change, strand and the senses; the vast form and the self-ruling one; what stands and what moves — all of the abundant one. 42I, and Bhava, and Yajna; these lords of creatures beginning with Daksa; those beginning with you; the guardians of heaven's world, the guardians of the world of birds, the guardians of the world of men, the guardians of the worlds below; 43the lords of the singers and the knowledge-holders and the bards; the chiefs of yaksas and raksasas and snakes and serpents; the bulls among seers and among the fathers; the Daitya kings, the masters of the perfected, the Danava kings; and others, the rulers of ghosts and goblins and spirits and gourd-imps, of water creatures and beasts and birds —
44Whatever in the world has fortune, has brightness, has force, has endurance, has strength, has patience; whatever has beauty and modesty and greatness and command of itself, whatever is a flood of wonders — all of it is the supreme reality wearing a form, though it has no form of its own. 45Sage, those descents in play of the abundant Person which they hand down as the chief ones, lovely, and drying up the foulness of the ear — I shall set them out for you in order. Drink them in.
