12That form he took, fitted to his play among mortals, when he showed the strength of his own yogamaya, astonished even the fullness of his own beauty: the highest station, whose limbs are the ornament of their ornaments. 13At the royal consecration of the son of Dharma the three worlds looked at that form, which is a blessing to the eye, and thought: the Ordainer's whole skill in this later creation has come here to its end. 14The women of Vraja, honoured by that glance of his in play, with its laughter and its rasa flooded with love, stood where they were, their minds running after their eyes, their work left unfinished.
15When his own peaceable forms were being harried by others in their forms, his heart went out in pity; and the Bhagavan, the lord of high and low, joined with a portion of the great, though unborn, was born, as fire is. 16This wearies me, the birth of the unborn, that mockery, in the house of Vasudeva; and the living in Vraja as though in fear of an enemy; and that he whose strength has no end left his own city of his own accord.
