The mighty one had the son of Dharma perform three horse sacrifices; and he, guarding the earth with his younger brothers, lived at his ease, holding fast to Krsna. The Bhagavan too, the self of all, following the ways of the world and of the Veda, took what is wanted in Dvaraka, unattached, standing in the enumeration. With a look of soft smiling, with speech like nectar, with conduct no one could fault, and with a person that is the home of Sri, he gave delight to this world and to that one, and most of all to the Yadus, and took his pleasure, the night giving him his leisure, and his tenderness resting in the moments the women's eyes gave him.

As he lived so through many gatherings of years, a turning away came to birth in him from the couplings of a householder's life. When the things we want stand under fate, and the man who wants them stands under fate, who that follows the lord of yoga by yoga would place his trust in them?
