30From the Person's mouth the sacred word came forth, bearer of the Kurus; and since it came from the mouth, the brahmin became the first of the classes and their teacher. 31From his arms came the ruling power, and the man of that class holds to it; born of the Person, he guards the classes from the wounding of thorns. 32From the mighty one's thighs came the settlements, which make the world's living; and the man of that class, arisen from them, set going the trade of men. 33From the Bhagavan's feet was born service, for the completing of dharma; and in service, long ago, the sudra was born, by whose work Hari is pleased.
34These classes worship Hari, their own teacher, by their own duty and with trust, for the cleaning of themselves; for they were born from him along with their callings.
