Bhagavan, we know you now as what the supreme Self is, making by your clarity a love for you in these; you whom sages without passion, their knots untied, know in the heart by a firm yoga of devotion that comes to be known through remorse. Dear one, those who take shelter at your feet, who are skilled and know the savour of the telling of you, whose fame is a ford and is worth singing, do not count even your last favour as much, let alone anything else, which carries the fear given by the lifting of your brows. Let our becoming be in the hells, if our own crookedness will have it so, if only the mind may take its pleasure at your feet like a bee, and our words be an ornament of your feet like the tulasi, and the hollow of our ears be filled with the throngs of your qualities.

Much-invoked one, by this form that you have shown forth our eyes, Lord, have found rest enough. To that Bhagavan we make this bow, the Bhagavan who is hard for those without a self to come by, and who has now appeared.
