24When his illusions had been destroyed, he came at Kesava once more, and, meaning to crush him in his rage, found him standing outside his arms. 25As he struck with fists as hard as thunderbolts, the one beyond the reach of the senses hit him at the root of the ear with his hand, as the lord of the winds hit the son of Tvastr. 26Struck so, and carelessly, by the conqueror of all, his limbs whirling, his eyes started from his head, his arms and legs and hair broken and scattered, he fell like a great tree torn down by the wind. 27The unborn one and the others came and looked at him lying on the ground, his brightness undimmed, his teeth terrible, his lip bitten through, and they said: Who could ever come to such an end as this?
28The one whom yogins meditate on in secret with the gathering of yoga, wanting release from a body that is not real, was the one this bull among the demons was looking in the face when, struck by his foot, he gave up his body. 29These are the two attendants of his who went by a curse into a bad course. After a few more births they will come again to their own place.
