Out of his shadow he first sent forth ignorance with its five joints: darkness, blind darkness, gloom, delusion and great gloom. He was not pleased with that body of his made of darkness and threw it off. The yaksas and raksasas took it up as night, out of which hunger and thirst come. Beset by hunger and thirst, they ran at him to eat him. Worn out by hunger and thirst, they said: Do not spare him, eat him. The god, alarmed, said to them: Do not eat me, protect me. You yaksas and raksasas have come to be my own children. The gods he sent out from in front of him, shining each with his own brightness, took up that brightness he had let go, which is day, playing at being gods.

From his hindquarters the god sent out the ones who are not gods, greedy beyond all measure; and in their greed they came at him for coupling. Then the revered one laughed; but with the shameless demons hard behind him, angry and afraid, he ran away.
