Then in a mirror she saw herself: garlanded, in unstained clothes, without a speck on her, the rites of blessing done for her, honoured by the girls, bathed, her head washed, adorned with every ornament, a medallion at her throat, bracelets on her arms, anklets of gold that sang as she moved, adorned about the hips with a golden girdle set with many jewels, and with a costly necklace, and with a golden charm. Her teeth were fine, her brows fine, the corners of her eyes smooth and moist, and her face was bright with dark curls that rivalled the lotus bud. The moment she remembered the bull of the sages, her husband and her dear one, she was there with the women, where that lord of creatures was.

Seeing herself then before her husband, ringed by a thousand women, she took in what his yoga could do, and doubt came over her. He saw her with the dirt bathed away, shining as she never had, wearing her own true form again, her lovely breasts covered, waited on by a thousand women of the sky, finely dressed. Feeling rose in him, and he had her climb into the flying palace, killer of enemies.
