The going from which there is no return· Verses 27–30

When a sage who delights so in the self comes, over the course of many births, to detachment everywhere, as far up as the world of Brahma; being devoted to me and awakened to what is true, then by my abundant favour he reaches that highest good which is his own standing-place, called aloneness, and resting upon me; the steady one reaches it here readily, his doubt cut through by his own seeing; and having gone there the yogin does not return when he passes out of the subtle body. Dear one, when the mind of one who is perfected does not cling to the powers of maya that yoga has gathered, which have no cause but that, then the going to me is his, and it is final, and there death has no laugh at him.
