21I stand always in all beings as the self of beings. Making nothing of that, a mortal turns his worship of me into mockery. 22One who leaves aside me, the self and the Lord, who am in all beings, and out of dullness worships an image, is pouring his offering into ashes. 23One who hates me in another's body, who is full of himself and sees things divided, who has set up enmity with living beings, never comes to peace of mind. 24Faultless one, worshipped in an image with things high and low, and with the rite well done, I am not pleased at all by one who slights the crowd of living things. 25Let a man do his own work and worship me, the Lord, in an image and the rest, only so long as he does not know me standing in his own heart and in all beings.
26For the one who sees things divided, who makes a gap between himself and another, I, as death, set out a terrible fear. 27So let him honour me with gifts and with respect, with friendship and with an eye that makes no division: me who have made my home in all beings as the self of beings.
