Surely this person does not know the great might of the one who is here, even while he is driven along by him as a bank of clouds is driven by the strong wind. Whatever a man takes hold of by hard labour so that it may make him happy, the Bhagavan shakes out of his hands, and then he grieves for the thing he lost. For out of confusion the man of poor understanding thinks that the body, which does not last, and everything that hangs upon it, and house and field and wealth, are things that will last. In this round of becoming, whatever womb a creature goes on into, in that very one it finds its contentment, and it does not turn away from it.

Even a man set down in hell does not want to give up his body, for there is a contentment to be had even in hell, and the maya of the god has bewildered him.
