Lord, this one of ten months has been brought to a state like this by one of great pity, by one like you. Let him, the protector of the wretched, be pleased with what he himself has done. What can anyone do in return for that, except fold his hands? Bound in the seven, this one surely sees by the understanding within his body another, whose body is restraint. By that understanding, which he made, I came to be; and I see that ancient Person outside and in the heart, standing there plain as a set-up marker. So, mighty one, though I live here where the living is much pain, I do not want to come out of the womb into the blind well outside, where the maya of the god creeps up on whoever arrives, and after it false thinking, and after that this wheel of the round of birth.

Therefore, with my distress put away, I will draw myself quickly out of the dark, with my own self for a friend, having brought Visnu's feet close, so that this trouble with all its openings shall not fall to me again. While the seer of ten months in the womb is praising him with his mind made up in this way, the birth-wind at once throws him down with his head turned under, for the delivery.
