Having reviled the lord of the mountain in this way, who stood there and offered nothing against it, Daksa touched water and in his anger set about cursing him. Let this Bhava, the lowest of the hosts of gods, get no share along with the gods, with Indra and Upendra and the rest, at the sacrifice made to the gods. Though the chief men of the gathering forbade him, Daksa let the curse go against the guardian of the mountain, and walked out from there with his anger swollen in him, and went home, Kaurava. Understanding the curse, Nandisvara, first among the followers of the lord of the mountain, stained with the dye of rage, let a hard curse go against Daksa, and against those brahmins who had agreed to that unspeakable thing.
