21Whoever, with this mortal thing before his eyes, does harm to the revered one, who does no harm back, is a fool who sees things as separate, and he will be turned away from what is real. 22Clinging to a household whose duties are counterfeit, out of a wish for the pleasures of the village, he spreads out the whole apparatus of rites, his understanding ruined by talk about the Veda. 23His understanding turned to thinking about other things, the way of the self forgotten in him, an animal, in love with women: let Daksa be all that beyond anyone else, and let him have the face of a goat before long. 24Let this dull man, who takes an ignorance made of acts for knowledge, go round in the round of birth here, and with him all those who followed him in slighting Sarva.
25Let those who hate Hara be wholly bewildered, their selves churned up by the churning of that flowering speech which is heard, with its heavy smell of honey. 26Let the twice-born, eating anything at all, holding their learning for a living and their austerities and vows for a living, taking their pleasure in wealth and body and senses, go about here as beggars.
