A sea came on, terrible with its waves, flooding the ground on all sides, roaring hugely, as frightening as the end of an age. In many such ways those demons, quick and cruel, made things to frighten anyone whose mind was weak, working the illusion that belongs to them. The sages heard of that illusion the demons had set working against Dhruva, and hard to get through as it was, they came together and wished him peace. The sages said: Son of Uttanapada, may the Bhagavan who is yours, the god with the horn bow, who takes away the pain of those who bow to him, wear these enemies down. Say his name or hear it, dear one, and the world crosses death at once, hard as death is to cross.
