He gathers into himself all worlds, all gods, all sacrifice; he is made of the threefold Veda, of the offering, of austerity. For your own good, king, let your own lands worship him with rites of every kind. When the twice-born spread out a sacrifice in your realm, the gods, who are portions of Hari, are well worshipped and well pleased, and they hand over what is wanted. Hero, you must not set about slighting that. Vena said: You are children, taking wrongdoing for dharma, leaving the husband who keeps you and waiting on a lover as though he were your husband. These fools slight the Lord who wears the form of a king. They will find nothing good in this world or in the next.

Who is this so-called Person of sacrifice, that your devotion should go like this, the way bad wives with no love left for their husbands go to a lover?
