27Most worthy of the worthy, for some there is one named the lord of sacrifice, and here and hereafter certain grounds are seen to be full of light. 28Manu, Uttanapada, and Dhruva too, that lord of the earth, Priyavrata the royal sage, and Anga, my father's father, 29these and others like them, and the Unborn, and Bhava, and Prahlada and Bali as well: with the bearer of the mace they all have business. 30All but the daughter's sons of Death and their kind, pitiable men bewildered about dharma; for he is commonly the one cause of the aims of life, of heaven and of release. 31A liking for the service of his feet, if it is true and grows day by day, at once wears away for the austere the stain the mind has heaped up through birth after birth, as the river does that came out from his toe.
32A man with every stain of mind shaken out of him, strong with the particular strength of unattached knowing, who has made his home at the root of those feet, does not come again to the round of birth that carries pain.
