Noble ones, may I bear the dust of their lotus feet upon my crown as long as I live. Wrongdoing quickly perishes for one who bears it always, and every good quality comes to him. Riches come after and choose the man who is a home of good qualities, whose wealth is his character, who is grateful and takes his stand on his elders. May the brahmin family be pleased with me, and the cows, and Janardana with those who follow him. As the king spoke so, the fathers and the gods and the twice-born, good men with glad minds, praised him with a cry of well said. By a son one wins the worlds: that word of scripture holds true, since Vena, a wicked man struck down by the brahmins' rod, got across the dark.

Hiranyakasipu too, who by reviling the Bhagavan was bound for the dark, passed beyond it through the power of his son Prahlada. Best of heroes, father of the earth, live on through years that do not end, you whose devotion to the Unfallen, the one supporter of all the worlds, is such as this.
