Ah, you whose fame makes clean: today, with you for our master, we have Mukunda for our master, since you bring to light the story of Visnu, whose renown is highest of all, the god who is kind to the brahmins. It is no great wonder, master, that you should teach us how to live. Love for the people is the nature of the great, whose selves are made of pity. Today, lord, you have brought us to the far side of the dark, us who were wandering with our sight lost, driven by works that go by the name of fate. Salutation to the Person in whom clarity has grown full, to him who is mighty, who having entered the brahmin and the kshatriya upholds this world by his own fire.
