Vidura, Havirdhani bore Havirdhana six sons: Barhisad, Gaya, Sukla, Krsna, Satya and Jitavrata. Barhisad, greatly favoured, Havirdhana's son, lord of creatures, was deep in the sections on rites and in the disciplines of yoga, best of the Kurus. As he spread out this offering to the gods, one sacrifice after another, the face of the earth was covered over with kusa grass whose points turned east. He married Satadruti, the sea's daughter, named to him by the god of gods. Seeing her lovely in every limb, young, richly adorned, going round the fire at the wedding, Agni desired her as he had desired Suki. Gods and antigods, gandharvas, sages, the perfected, men and snakes were conquered in every quarter by that sun-bright girl, and only by the ringing of her anklets.

Pracinabarhis had ten sons on Satadruti, all with the same name and the same vow, bathed in dharma: the Pracetases.
