Told by their father to bring forth people, they went into the sea for austerity, and for ten thousand years they honoured the lord of austerity with austerity. What Girisa said to them, whom they had met on the road and who was pleased with them, they meditated on and muttered and worshipped, holding themselves in. Tell us fully, brahmin: how did the Pracetases meet the guardian of the mountain on the road, and what did Hara say to them when he was pleased? Brahmin sage, a meeting with Siva is hard for those who wear bodies to come by here; the sages, out of their detachment, have set their minds on him as the thing they want.

Though he takes his pleasure in the self, the revered Bhava goes about joined to a fearful power, for the ordering of this world. The Pracetases, good men, took their father's word upon their heads and went towards the west, their minds set with respect on austerity.
