13And what do you live on, dear one? The smell of the offering breathes from your eating; you must be a portion of Visnu. Your ears do not blink, and sea-beasts have risen in them. Your face is simply a lake: a startled pair of fish, a shining row of twice-born, a swarm of bees close by. 14That ball your lotus hand has struck wanders through the quarters, and my eyes wander with it and will not be still. You do not notice your knot of curling matted hair come loose, and this troublesome wind, greedy, is carrying off your under-cloth. 15You whose wealth is austerity: this beauty of yours undoes the austerity of those who practise it. 16I will not let you go, my dear, given me by the god of the twice-born, on whom my mind and eye have caught and will not leave. You of the lovely horns, take me with you, bound to you as I am; and let your kind companions follow where your heart goes. 17So, being very skilled at coaxing a woman, and quick-witted, he won that wife of the gods over with talk that was clever in the way of the world.
