What he gives instead, and the lesser islands· Verses 27–31

।

It is true that when he is asked he gives men what they ask for; and yet he does not really give what is wanted, since from that comes wanting again. Of himself he gives to those who worship him and want nothing the tender leaf of his own foot, which shuts the door on wanting. Whatever good is left over to us here from the pleasure of heaven, from our offerings well made, our hymns well said and our deeds well done, by that may we be born in the region of Ajanabha with our memory, for there Hari spreads out well-being for those who worship him. And king, some teach that the island of Jambu has eight lesser islands, made when the sons of Sagara dug up this earth all around in the search for the horse.

They are Svarnaprastha, Candrasukla, Avartana, Ramanaka, Mandaraharina, Pancajanya, Simhala and Lanka. So, best of the Bharatas, the division of the island of Jambu into regions has been described to you as it was taught.
