35Praised in this way by one who went on praising him, there at Aghamarsana, best of the Kurus, the Bhagavan, tender to those devoted to him, showed himself. 36His feet were set on Suparna's shoulders, his eight great arms hanging long, and he held disc and conch, sword and shield and arrow, bow and noose and mace. 37He wore yellow, dark as a heavy cloud, his face and his eyes gracious, his body wrapped in a forest garland, bright with the Srivatsa and the Kaustubha. 38With a great crown and bracelets, with flashing sea-monster earrings, adorned with girdle and rings and bangles and anklets and armlets. 39The lord of the three worlds, carrying that form which bewilders the three worlds, surrounded by Narada and Nanda and the rest of his attendants, chiefs among the gods,
40praised by the perfected and the gandharvas and the caranas singing after him: seeing that great and astonishing form, awe came over him. 41The lord of creatures fell to the ground like a stick, his self full of gladness. He could not bring out a word for the sharpness of his joy, his mind filled at all its doors like rivers by their falling streams.
