Verse 1

¹Then the son of Pracetas, won over by the self-born, begot on Asikni sixty daughters, and they loved their father. ²He gave ten of them to Dharma, twice six to Kasyapa, thrice nine to the moon, two each to Bhuta, Angiras and Krsasva, and the rest to Tarksya. ³Hear from me now the names of these women and of their children, by whose bearing, and by what their children bore in turn, the three worlds were filled.
