Comforted in this way by what the brahmins said, king Citraketu wiped with his hand a face gone dull with distress, and spoke. Who are you two, full of knowledge and greatest among the great, who have come here hidden, in the dress of men who have shaken everything off? For brahmins dear to the Bhagavan go about the earth as they please, wearing the marks of madmen, to wake up dull-witted villagers like me. Kumara, Narada, Rbhu, Angiras, Devala, Asita, Apantaratamas, Vyasa, Markandeya, and Gautama; Vasistha, the revered Rama, Kapila, the son of Badarayana, Durvasas and Yajnavalkya, Jatukarna and Aruni; Romasa, Cyavana, Datta, Asuri with Patanjali, the sage Vedasiras, Bodhya, and the sage Pancasikha;

Hiranyanabha of Kosala, Srutadeva, Rtadhvaja — these and other lords of perfection go about the world, and they are the causes of knowledge. So for me, a village animal with a dulled mind, sunk in a blind dark, let the lamp of knowledge be raised up by you two, masters.
