7The tie of a thing that lasts is seen among men to be a thing that does not last. As long as anyone's tie holds, just so long is there any mine. 8So the living one, gone into a womb, is lasting and has no I-maker in it. As long and as far as anything is got hold of, just so far is it his. 9This one lasts, does not spend itself, is fine, is the ground of everything, and sees by its own light. By the strands of his own maya the master makes the whole world, and makes himself. 10For no one is very dear to him and no one hateful, neither his own nor a stranger. He is one, the watcher of all minds and of the merits and faults of those who act.
11The self takes on no merit, no fault and no fruit of action. He sits like one who has no part in it, the Lord, who sees the high and the low.
