34Unconquered one, you are conquered by the good, even-minded, who have conquered themselves; and they in turn are conquered by you, worshipping you with no wanting in them, since you give your own self and are more than kind. 35Yours, Bhagavan, is the greatness: the rising and standing and dissolving of the world, and the rest of it. The makers of the world are parts of your parts, and they contend there falsely, each taking himself for something apart. 36You stand at the beginning and the end and the middle of the smallest speck and of the greatest thing, and are free of the three. What is there at the beginning and at the end of beings is just what is there in between.
37This shell of an egg is wrapped in seven coverings, earth and the rest, each ten times the last; and he into whom it falls like a speck, along with crores upon crores of eggs, is the Endless. 38Men who are beasts, thirsty for the things of sense, who worship your splendours and not you, the highest: their wishes are granted, Lord, and then perish along with them, as a king's household perishes. 39Thoughts of wanting set on you do not sprout, highest one, any more than roasted seeds do; nor do the nets of opposites that come of the crowd of strands, when they are set on you, whose self is knowledge and who have no strands.
40You had your victory then, Unconquered one, when you spoke that blameless dharma of the Lord's own, which the silent worship for release, who own nothing and take their pleasure in the self.
