26Then the revered Rudra said this to Rudrani, with the gods and sages, the Daityas and siddhas and his own attendants listening: 27You have seen, fair one, the greatness of Hari, whose deeds are marvellous — the greatness of the servants of his servants, who want nothing, whose selves are great. 28All those given over to Narayana fear nothing from any side. They see the same worth in heaven, in release, and in the hells. 29For those in bodies, out of their joining with a body come the pairs, by the Lord's play: happiness and pain, death and birth, and curse and favour too. 30A man's dividing up of things, as if within the self, is made by a failure of discernment; and the sorting into merit and fault is likewise a division made, as with a garland.
