43Against that man great among the Lord's own, greatly favoured and great of soul, his own son, Hiranyakasipu did evil, king. 44Sage of the gods, we want to learn this from you, you of good vows: how a father did evil to his own son, who was clean and good. 45Fathers who love their sons take their own sons to task when they cross them, and do it to teach them; they do not do them evil, as an outsider would. 46How much less such good sons as do what they are told and hold their teachers for gods. Blow this wondering of ours away, brahmin, lord: how a father's hatred of a son was set to work to kill him.
