51His qualities being told out this far, with devotion, by his devoted one, he who is beyond the strands was pleased, and holding back his anger he spoke to Prahlada, who was bowed before him. 52Bhagavan said: Prahlada, good child, may it be well with you. I am pleased with you, best of the demons. Choose the boon you would like; I fill what men want. 53Long-lived one, the sight of me is hard to come by for one who does not please me. Once he has seen me, a creature need not burn himself any more. 54Steady men who are good, who want what is best, please me with their whole being, greatly favoured one: me, who am the lord of all blessings.
55Though he was tempted in this way with boons that tempt the world, that best of the demons, being the Bhagavan's alone, did not want them.
