He asks for his father· Verses 15–19

श्रीभगवानुवाचत्रिःसप्तभिः पिता पूतः पितृभिः सह तेऽनघ ।यत् साधोऽस्य गृहे जातो भवान् वै कुलपावनः
।
15Choose a boon: this is what I would have of you, great Lord, giver of boons, since my father, not knowing, spoke against you and against your lordly blaze, 16his heart pierced with rage. He saw wrongly, and called you, who are in your own person the master and teacher of all the worlds, the killer of his brother; and he did wrong to me, who am yours. 17So let my father be made clean of that endless wrong that cannot be crossed. You who are tender to the wretched, he was made clean the moment you looked at him from the corner of your eye. 18Bhagavan said: Sinless one, your father is clean, and the fathers three times seven with him, since you were born in his line, good one, and you make a line clean.
19And wherever those devoted to me are, quiet, seeing everything the same, good and well behaved, even the Kikatas are made clean.
