51It was this Bhagavan, king, who spread out again the fame of the god Rudra, struck down long ago by Maya, who works maya without end. 52In what deed of the god who rules the world did Maya strike him down, and how was his fame built up again by this Krsna? Let it be told. 53The demons were beaten in the fight by the gods, whom he had made strong, and they went for refuge to Maya, the highest teacher of those who work maya. 54That mighty one made three cities, of gold, of silver and of iron, whose coming and going could hardly be marked and whose fittings were past guessing at. 55With them, king, those generals of the demons, remembering the old hate and not to be seen, set about destroying the three worlds and their lords.
56Then those worlds with their lords came to the Lord: Mighty one, god, save us, who are yours, for we are being destroyed by the dwellers in the three cities.
