8Truth, pity, austerity, cleanness, putting up with things, discernment, quiet of mind, holding the senses in, doing no harm, keeping to Brahman, letting go, study, straightness; 9contentment, serving those who see all things the same, a slow leaving off of village doings, looking at how men's works come out the wrong way, silence, searching into the self; 10sharing food and the rest with beings as each deserves; holding them for the self and for the gods, and men above all, Pandava; 11and hearing of him, praising him, remembering him, who is where the great go; serving him, making him offerings, bowing to him, being his slave, being his friend, giving him oneself.
12This is called the highest dharma of all men, king, and it has thirty marks; and by it the self of everything is pleased.
