Having lived so in his teacher's house, having studied the threefold Veda with its limbs and its Upanishads and taken it in, as much as he needs and as much as he can, and having given his teacher the gift he wishes, if he is able, and been given leave, he may enter a household or the forest, or go out as a wanderer, or stay on where he is. In the fire, in his teacher, in himself and in all beings he should see the one beyond the reach of the senses, who has not entered them and yet is there in them as his own dwellings. Living in this way, whether student, forest dweller, one who strives or householder, and knowing what is to be known, a man reaches the highest Brahman.
