Verse 74

⁷⁴The duty of the household has now been told you, which destroys wrongdoing, and by which a householder comes easily to the way of those who have laid everything down. ⁷⁵You in the world of men are greatly favoured: sages come to you and make the world clean; for in your house the highest Brahman itself is living, hidden, with the marks of a man. ⁷⁶This is that Brahman the great go searching for, the tasting of the happiness of aloneness and of going out; and he is your dear one, your friend, your mother's brother's son, honoured as your own self, the one who does what is right for you, and your teacher. ⁷⁷Not even Siva or the one born of the lotus and the rest have described his form with their minds as it truly is. May he, the lord of the Satvatas, honoured by silence, by devotion and by quiet, be pleased.
