25Of Dharma, in Sunrta, the Bhagavan, the best of Persons, was born, known as Satyasena, and the Satyavratas with him. 26With Satyajit for his friend he killed the yaksas and raksasas, false to their vows and of evil conduct and untrue, and the hosts of spirits that do harm to living things. 27The fourth Manu was Uttama's brother, named Tamasa; his sons were ten, Prthu, Khyati, Nara, Ketu and the rest. 28In the age of Tamasa the gods were the Satyakas, the Haris and the Viras; Trisikha was their lord; and the seven sages were Jyotirdhama and the others. 29The gods named the Vaidhrtas, king, were the sons of Vidhrti; by them the Vedas, which time had lost, were held together by their own splendour.
