Having released the leader of the elephant herd in this way, the lotus-navelled one, with him beside him now brought to the standing of a companion, went to his own house on Garuda, his wondrous act sung by gandharvas and perfected ones and gods. This, great king, is what I have told you: the power of Krsna, and the freeing of the lord of the elephants. It gives heaven and it gives fame, it takes away the stain of the Kali age, and for those who hear it, best of the Kurus, it puts an end to bad dreams. And so those twice-born men who want what is best for them recite it, having risen at daybreak and made themselves clean, for the quieting of bad dreams and of the rest.
