21I and Bhava and you, and the demons and the rest, and men and beasts and trees and the things born of heat, are all sent out from his descents, his portions and the portions of those. Let us all go for refuge to him who does not waste away. 22There is none he must kill and none he must guard, no side to be passed over and none to be favoured; and yet, for the sending out and the keeping and the drawing in of the world, he takes on passion, clarity and darkness, each in its own time. 23And this is his moment for keeping and guarding what stands, when he takes to clarity so that embodied beings may thrive. So let us go for refuge to the teacher of the world. He is fond of the gods, and he will lay peace on us, who are his own.
24Having spoken so to the gods, the Ordainer went with them, subduer of enemies, to the standing place of Ajita, which is plainly beyond the darkness.
