Salutation to him whose power has come to rest, whose self is filled full by the winning of his own kingship, who is not caught by his own workings in the strands that maya has put together, whose help comes like the wind. You are that; show yourself to us, then, where our organs can reach you. We have come for refuge and we want to see: let us see your lotus face with its smile. With those forms of yours that come to be by your own will, from age to age, mighty one, the Bhagavan does himself that work of ours which is too hard for us to bear. The works of embodied beings, worn down by the objects of sense, are full of trouble and thin in substance, or else come to nothing. It is not so with what is laid down in you.

Not even the meanest sort of work, once it is laid down in the Lord, turns out for a man to be without fruit; for he is the self, dear to him and doing him good. As watering the root of a tree feeds its trunk and its branches, so is the worship of Visnu for all beings, and for oneself. Salutation to you, the endless, whose self and whose acts are past working out, who are beyond the strands and the lord of the strands, and who now stand in clarity.
