1So praised by the hosts of gods, the Bhagavan Hari, the Lord, showed himself to them, king, bright as the rising of a thousand suns. 2By that blaze itself the sight of all the gods was struck away. They could not see the sky, or the quarters, or the earth, or themselves; how then the mighty one? 3The revered Virinca, and Sarva with him, saw that body: clear, dark as emerald, its eyes red as the inside of a lotus, 4in shining silk pure as heated gold, every limb of it gracious and lovely, the face fine, the brows beautiful, 5adorned with a crown of great jewels and with two armlets, the lotus of its face made glorious by cheeks lit up from the earrings,
6bright with girdle and bangles and necklace and anklets, wearing the Kaustubha, wearing Laksmi and the garland of the forest, 7and waited on by his own weapons, the Sudarsana and the rest, each of them in a body. Then the foremost of the gods, with Sarva and all the hosts of immortals, every limb of them touching the ground, praised the highest Person.
